Control of mosquitos and flies around the Mediterranean

In addition to their medical impact, insects such as mosquitoes and houseflies can have a very significant economic impact on other sectors, such as the tourism industry. Most Mediterranean countries have a significant tourist industry, and some measure the annual value of their tourist business in tens of billions of Euros. However in many areas, including parts of Spain, France, Italy and Turkey, the continued success of this valuable tourist business depends on the effective control of mosquitoes and flies that would otherwise be an intolerable nuisance.  

This potentially serious impact of nuisance insects on the tourism industry is well understood. Municipal pest control teams responsible for some of the tourist areas – and some of the resort complexes themselves – have therefore invested in Micronair AU8000EH and Micronair AU8015EH sprayers. Throughout the summer season these machines are used systematically to treat the resorts themselves and surrounding areas.
