Turbospray
The Turbospray is a revolutionary new design of sprayer combining controlled droplet application technology with a powerful yet directed air-blast allowing accurate spraying of vines and bush crops at volumes as low as 30 litres per hectare while at the same time minimising the off-target waste and environmental contamination arising from spray drift.
The Turbospray vine sprayer is based around the Turbofan spray head. This uses a fan atomiser unit driven from the tractor hydraulics to produce a cloud of evenly sized droplets. These are blown into the crop by an axial fan producing the optimum airflow for droplet penetration. The position of individual Turbofan heads can be angled and adjusted according to the height and row spacing of the vines and this allows accurate placement of the spray to the target area of the vine. A conversion kit for existing sprayers is also available.
The complete Turbospray sprayer combines 4 Turbofan heads with a 325 litre tank (capable of covering up to 10 ha between refills), robust frame, a diaphragm pump and in-cab electric controls to give a versatile sprayer which gives accurate delivery of chemical spray right to the target with a minimum of drift and environmental contamination.
Features
The Turbospray has many benefits including:
- Low spray volumes (30-60 l/ha)
- High spray volume capabilities (60-1000 l/ha)
- High work rates
- Reduced drift
- Heads adjustable to suit row spacing
- Accurate directed placement of spray
- In-cab controls
