The Micronair AU5000LD is the latest development in rotary atomiser technology designed to minimise spray drift particularly at high air speeds (up to 150 mph) with turbine aircraft.

New atomiser technology using a stack of serrated tooth discs to replace the standard AU5000 gauze assembly facilitates production of larger spray droplet sizes for the same rotational speed ranges.  In wind tunnel tests, droplet sizes as large as 200-250µm VMD with two fold reduction in the volume of driftable droplets is possible at airspeeds of up to 150 mph.

The new atomiser technology can be supplied complete or as a retrofit assembly (Part Number EX6769) to replace the gauze assembly on existing AU5000 atomisers where drift reduction using larger spray droplets is required.
